Participation and Project Fees:

  • There are Participation Fees and Project Fees associated with each Classic Amor Trip. Participation Fees are per person based on the number of “Work Days” – see below.
  • Everyone pays the per person fee. This includes drivers, cooks, outreach participants, etc.
  • Children 12 years and under have their participation fee waived.
  • Water (includes drinking water and shower water) is included in the Participation Fee.
  • Project Fees are based on the number of projects your group is building. You can put as many people on one site as you want but we recommend 15-25 per site.
  • Project Fee (2023 & 2024): $4,950*

* Material surcharge from last year has now been rolled into the project fee as our suppliers have told us it’s unlikely for market prices to decrease.

Financial Agreement

Amor begins preparations for Amor Trip projects nearly a year before participants arrive. In order to meet our commitments to the Mexican pastors, home recipients, material vendors and you – our partner in ministry, we ask you to abide by the following:

Lumber Surcharge: As of July 2021, Amor’s suppliers have increased the building material costs by $1,400 per house. Due to this change, Amor will add a surcharge to the project fee that is the responsibility of the group. This surcharge may increase or decrease due to market cost. Amor will do their best to make the group aware of the cost as soon as possible. If there is a decrease, Amor will credit the group.

90 Day Project Confirmation: The confirmed number of projects marks our shared commitment to building homes. The minimum number of projects your group is building must be confirmed at least 90 days prior to the initial arrival date specified at registration. The number of homes may be increased up to 30 days prior to your trip. Your group is financially responsible for the entire project fee(s) based on the number of projects you confirmed 90 days prior to the trip and any increase in project numbers within the 90-day window. Please note, all fees except the registration fee and down payment are refundable if your written request for refund is received more than 90 days prior to the initial arrival date.

30 Day Participant Confirmation: The number of participants with a group must be confirmed at least 30 days prior to the initial arrival date specified at registration.  Final numbers may be increased after the 30day confirmation date, however, groups are financially responsible for any increased participation numbers provided within the 30-day window.  Iparticipation numbers decrease within the 30-day window, your group will be financially responsible for their participation number given at the 30-day confirmation date, relative to initial arrival date

Late Payment: A 10% financial penalty (based on your total fees) may be charged to your account if either of the financial due dates is missed. Final and full payment for your trip is due 30 days prior to the initial arrival date

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation means that a family may not be receiving their completed home within the promised timeframe. In some cases, materials could be lost, stolen or damaged by weather prior to another group arriving to complete that project. If you cancel your trip within 90 days of your initial arrival date, the project fee(s) become nonrefundable. If you cancel your trip within 30 days of your initial arrival date, the project fee(s), participation fees, and any other trip associated fees become non-refundable.

Rain Check/Refund Policy: In the event Amor Ministries determines that an evacuation is necessary due to severe environmental conditions, a pro-rated schedule will be established to apply credit to a future Amor Trip. However, groups who voluntarily choose to leave prior to their agreed-upon departure date will not receive credit for the early departure.

Outstanding Balance: Any balance due from a prior Amor Trip must be paid in full before we can accept your registration for a new Amor Trip and all payment due dates must be met in the future
