Material Surcharge: $950*
*As material costs fluctuate, Amor will add a surcharge to the project fee that is the responsibility of the group. This surcharge can increase and decrease due to market cost. Amor will do their best to make the group aware of the cost as soon as possible
Amor begins preparations for Amor Trip projects nearly a year before participants arrive. In order to meet our commitments to the Mexican pastors, home recipients, material vendors and you – our partner in ministry, we ask you to abide by the following:
Payment Plan: Our trips are broken down into three payments:
Payment Options:
* Effective 2023: with a credit card payment, you are responsible for the associated credit card fees. It is 2.2% + 0.30 for non-AmEx cards and 3.5% + 0.00 for AmEx cards.
** Upon request, Amor will provide you with our account details and instructions. There may be a small fee for ACH and transfers, depending on your bank.
90 Day Project Confirmation: The confirmed number of projects marks our shared commitment to building homes. The minimum number of projects your group is building must be confirmed at least 90 days prior to the initial arrival date specified at registration. The number of homes may be increased up to 30 days prior to your trip. Your group is financially responsible for the entire project fee(s) based on the number of projects you confirmed 90 days prior to the trip and any increase in project numbers within the 90-day window. Please note, all fees except the registration fee and down payment are refundable if your written request for refund is received more than 90 days prior to the initial arrival date.
30 Day Participant Confirmation: The number of participants with a group must be confirmed at least 30 days prior to the initial arrival date specified at registration. Final numbers may be increased after the 30–day confirmation date, however, groups are financially responsible for any increased participation numbers provided within the 30-day window. If participation numbers decrease within the 30-day window, your group will be financially responsible for their participation number given at the 30-day confirmation date, relative to initial arrival date.
Late Payment: A 10% financial penalty (based on your total fees) may be charged to your account if either of the financial due dates is missed. Final and full payment for your trip is due 30 days prior to the initial arrival date.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation means that a family may not be receiving their completed home within the promised timeframe. In some cases, materials could be lost, stolen or damaged by weather prior to another group arriving to complete that project. If you cancel your trip within 90 days of your initial arrival date, the project fee(s) become nonrefundable. If you cancel your trip within 30 days of your initial arrival date, the project fee(s), participation fees, and any other trip associated fees become non-refundable.
Rain Check/Refund Policy: In the event Amor Ministries determines that an evacuation is necessary due to severe environmental conditions, a pro-rated schedule will be established to apply credit to a future Amor Trip. However, groups who voluntarily choose to leave prior to their agreed-upon departure date will not receive credit for the early departure.
Impact Trips: Impact Trips require a minimum of 15 adult participants per project. If a group elects to participate in an Impact Trip with fewer than 15 adult participants, they are financially responsible for the full fee covering a minimum of 15 participants.
