Meet the Chavez Bojorquez Family

Maria and her family live in the ‘San Rafael’ community of Puerto Penasco, Mexico. They were selected by pastor Julio Meza to receive their home.

Maria was in an accident and is unable to work. She receives a pension of $17 per week. Her partner Alfredo works when there is work available. Her grandson Caleb lives with her and is not enrolled in school. The three of them are currently living in a small trailer. They have access to running water and electricity.

Due to the trailer being off the ground, it’s was difficult for Maria to get in and out of her old home. Their new home allows the family more space, privacy and ease of access for Maria. Maria is grateful to now have a safe home for her children and grandson. Thank you to Boulder Valley Christian Church for making this possible!
