Why a Men’s Trip?
We live in a world where many fathers have given up on their families and many families have given up on their fathers! The reality is that many of us carry the wounds of being fathered by an imperfect dad, which has affected our ability to father others.
As a group of men, we are going to take 8 days out to go on a journey where we will explore how we can know God as our heavenly dad, and in so doing receive healing from the wounds we carry and become better equipped to step-up to the amazing privilege and honor of being a dad to someone.
We will do our best to figure this out as we:
- Stand shoulder to shoulder building a new home alongside a family trapped by poverty
- Listen to what Jesus had to say about his heavenly dad
- Sit around the campfire late into the evening
- Talk about our own experiences – our successes and our failures, our good memories and our pain
- Stand in awe at one of the seven wonders of the world and reflect on the one who made it all
Trip Details
Who Can Come?
Men 18 years of age and older may attend. You’ll be serving alongside other men from the UK, USA, and Mexico.

November 5-12, 2022 (see ‘Cost’ below for shorter trip options)
Location
This trip will start and end in Phoenix, AZ. We’ll travel together to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico and the Grand Canyon.
Cost
Please see below for different price options depending on the length of your trip.
$900/person – Full trip from November 5-12. Includes all accommodations and meals, and trip to the Grand Canyon. Flights to/from Phoenix not included.
$750/person – Mexico portion of the trip from November 5-11. Includes 2 overnight hotel stays: in Phoenix on Nov. 5 and Nov. 10, and all meals. Flights to/from Phoenix not included.
$550/person – Mexico portion of the trip from November 6-10. Includes all meals, no overnight hotel stay. Flights to/from Phoenix not included.
After you register, a registration fee of $200 is needed to secure your space.
Tentative Itinerary
November 5: Arrive in Phoenix, AZ and check-in with the rest of the group. Overnight hotel stay in Phoenix.
November 6: Drive to Puerto Peñasco, and set up camp.
November 7: Build and evening program.
November 8: Build and evening program.
November 9: Build and evening program.
November 10: House dedication, and drive to Flagstaff, AZ. Overnight hotel stay in Flagstaff, AZ.
November 11: Travel to the Grand Canyon. Overnight hotel stay in Flagstaff, AZ.
November 12: Drive to Phoenix for flights home
